Looking for Emergency Dental Medical?
Unless you have Insurance at the time of the emergency, it is usually not an option. But there are options that will save you money and get you seen by a reliable Dentist when a painful emergency occurs. With a Discount Plan you can see the Dentist the same or next day, if there is an on-going condition.
How Dental Insurance works:
Discount Plans has been around for a long time, but many consumers do not understand the difference between discounted plans and insurance. With insurance the patient pays a monthly premium, typically $50 - $150 or more per month. The Dentist is usually paid by the Dental Insurance Company on the dental treatment is completed. Many dental insurance programs have deductibles of $100 or more. Once the deductible is met, the company will typically pay out between 50-80% of the bill, and that will vary depending on the type of dental procedure.
In the Dental Insurance Industry provisions included in the contracts typically exclude dental cosmetics and there may be waiting peried for certain costly dental procedues. With certain costly dental treaments you may have to wait before having those treatments performed. Dental Insurance is limited by annual caps on dental services you can receive. Without limits, exclusions and caps on the dental services the Dental Insurance Company would quickly go out of buisness.
A Better Option:
One of the options to consumers is the Discount Plan. In fact many Insurance companies today are offering discounted plans to their clients. These discount plans cost less for the dental patient. The dental plan members choose from the Local Dentists contracted to provide discounted dental services to the plan member.
Why would a Dentist accept a discounted fee for their services? The Dentist is able to provide discounts, in return for prompt payment at the time of service. The Dental Discount Plan Patient pays at the time of service eliminated any dental insurance hassles. There is no paperwork. The Dentist saves on advetising because the Dental Discount Plan Company sends patients to the Dental Office.
In most areas of the US, discount plan members can receive up to 80% on dental services. The amount depends on the procedure. It;s a win win situation for both the dental plan member and Dentist.
Options for Emergency Dental Care Service:
1. Investigate Dental Discount Program with no waiting period.
2. FInd a Dentist in your area able to accomadate dental emergencies.
3. If on the weekend and there are no other options, go to the pharmacy and purchase Ora-Gel for the tooth pain or get to the hospital emergency room if the pain in the teeth persists.
